Andrea Teti comments on Egypt’s first post-Mubarak elections on BBC Scotland’s Good Morning Scotland (starting at 2h 16m 35s), pointing to the tensions at the root of post-uprising politics between former regime elements and pro-democracy groups, the difficulties of elections without a Constitution or even knowing the President’s powers, and with social cleavages – which helped trigger the January 2011 uprising – which remain still to be addressed.
